Recently, we published a detailed article on earning through forex trading. It is a very confusing, and very risky business. But it pays well! You can earn thousands of dollars in a minutes. But you can also lose them just as easily if you aren’t careful. Hence, it is not something for those who aren’t willing to take risks. But interested people who know the workings of stocks can do it. After all, you don’t need to work all day or something. You just need some knowledge, some motivation, and the willingness to take risks. It could definitely turn out to be a very lucrative venture for you.
Well, this is a business itself, the student can buy something and sell if with a profit margin. The thing can be stationary(books, pen, pencil, notebook etc), which is much required by the students in a hostel or campus; a food item (especially Maggi at 12 am) or some en-clothe and many other things that you might feel required for the vicinity population. This can be a mini business and can earn a good amount if intelligently and thoughtfully persuaded.
Maybe you prefer to take pictures versus creating a painting? That's fine, and there are ways to sell your stock photos as well. The Penny Hoarder has a great guide to selling stock photography, and it breaks down step by step how to sell on iStockPhoto or Shutterstock. When you start out, you will earn roughly 15% of the selling price, but it can go up to 50% over time.
If you have decent writing skills, then this is definitely something you should try. Article writing is a form of freelancing. But it is much easier, especially for students. You can write articles for money in various places. First of all, you could write for articles the top article directories, such as EzineArticles. You can also join other content websites and write articles there by creating HubPages or writing Squidoo lenses. You can also write for reputable blogs. Write a few guest posts on various blogs for free, and who knows? You might get picked up by another blog owner looking for writers?
Whether you’re giving feedback after watching some commercials or letting people study your brainwaves while you sleep, there are scores of social and medical researchers out there that welcome college students with open arms. That’s not to say you should embrace every opportunity, but new products need testers and there are plenty of low-level trials you can participate in. Start with the US government’s official clinical trial website, then try contacting local hospitals or companies directly. And college campuses are often full of students and professors hosting research, so look on your school’s website for these opportunities too. Word to the wise: if you earn more than $600 in your clinical trial adventures, you'll need to declare your earnings on your taxes. Also keep in mind that as the payment goes up, so too will the commitment—as well as the potential risk.
Similar to investing, peer-to-peer lending is where you loan money to someone else, and they pay you back with interest. The great thing about peer-to-peer lending is that you can lend as little as $25, and your loan will get bundled into a bigger loan for the borrower. Each month, they'll pay you back principal and interest. You can snowball this initial investment into many investments because you get your principal back as well each month. Many lenders earn over 5%-7% on their investments. Check out Lending Club to get started.
Kinda like eBay IRL, clothing consignment shops are havens for the thrifty and fashion conscious. Take your old prom dresses, dress khakis, and other gently worn items and see what kind of cash you can get. (You can even bring in that new dress you've had for four years but never worn but keep saying you'll wear someday...it's time to let it go.) You typically won’t be paid until the items sell, but depending on the quality of the piece, you could earn a pretty penny. Though most consignment shops carry your favorite mall brands, you’ll also find some selling just higher-end stuff, so make sure you know what kind of merchandise the store is looking for.
You and all five of your roommates have a not-so-healthy love of Mountain Dew. First, maybe switch to diet? Second, turn all those empties into a healthy chunk of change by bringing (rinsed!) cans and bottles to your local recycling center. If you alone drink two cans per day everyday, at an average 5 cents per can, you could have more than $35 at the end of the year, enough for a few weeks of laundry—or a steak dinner.
There are various ways students can earn money to at least generate their own pocket-money. We have already written a few posts about this in the past. So this post is a round-up of some of the old, as well as new methods you can earn money online while studying. This does not apply only to students, but also to house wives or other unemployed people who want to earn some money.
Not only will you be helping meet a critical need, but those pints of plasma or bags of blood can earn around $20–$50 each (and you may even be able to donate multiple times per month). Never donated blood? You’ll have to answer a few questions, meet blood donation eligibility requirements (check out the Red Cross donation guidelines), be cool with needles, and have anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to spare, depending on the wait time to sit down with a nurse. Plasma donations are a bit more involved: you could be hooked up to two needles (depending on the machine), have little mobility, and it takes about one or two hours total—but you’ll probably spend that time watching a movie surrounded by lots of nice nurses! Just be sure to take it easy after donating and replenish your fluids with lots of water and juices.
For an instance, I had a college mate who had an amazing skill of coding, being into computer science engineering itself an experience with this field would have graced her certificate, but being in a Gurukul, we never had many opportunities to get out of the campus and apply. Hence, she began her hunt on ‘Internshala’ where after accomplishing one project they gave, she started working as a coder with a startup company and a technical writer, and she got certified for her skills and knowledge while getting paid with an average stipend as well.
Being a Loan Signing Agent is a great side hustle because you can make $75 to $200 per hour-long appointment working for yourself on your own schedule. Retired people, working professionals, and students can be signing agents and earn extra cash when they want. The best part is you need nothing more than a notary commission (which can often be attained by simply filling out an application)!
One of your first options to make money in the area surrounding university is a part-time job. Most universities are located in areas that abound with retail stores, and therefore, retail jobs. There is also the option of a local pub or restaurant. This may require you to be a little more flexible with your schedule, but is a steady source of income.
This is a very unique idea. You can earn money by creating and selling your own T-Shirts! All you need is a photo editing software for creating designs, and a little investment on your part. Create interesting event-related t-shirts, and prompt people attending those events to buy them! For example, you can create shirts for seminars, social events, parties, etc. It’ll take some money to initially produce those T-Shirts, but you can sell them at a profit to gain more than what you spent! A friend of mine started with this idea, and now, she has a small business and a brand with a website, where people can choose from the available designs, or order a custom-made T-Shirts according to their desires! Great huh? Who knows it could evolve into a full-fledged business for you?
Our world has evolved in such a way that with each passing day, the race for earning more and more money becomes more and important. Other walks of life are being neglected in this race. In such an environment, every dime comes in handy. Recently, we have seen a general trend of people looking for alternative, part-time jobs. Most of them are teenagers. Being able to sustain yourself is considered ideal. For students, being able to afford their college fee by themselves is respectable. There is nothing wrong with students trying to earn money, so long as it doesn’t affect their academics. In fact, it builds a productive and positive attitude in students, and teaches them the value of money.

Not just via your old notes you can help your juniors by providing them with tutoring sessions, and make money with it. You can also choose the online tutoring option like Preply for earning money, in a subject with the number of views and download one gets. You can give tutoring lessons of some musical instrument or dance form, coaching is for anyone who holds cognition about something that people would be keen to learn. This is the best way to earn money, as I frequently discuss this in my write-ups. For every person there comes a different way of coaching, one can also become a home tutor. Many parents search for home tutors all the time.
