Everyone in this world has craving for some special food. And when you are young then definitely you will have more cravings. This can be a good money making opportunity. What you need to do is researching on what food is not sold in the cafeteria and then offer it to your classmates. For e.g. cakes are loved by most of us and if your cafeteria don’t sell cakes or dessert, it’s your chance to make it available and earn money doing this.
Who actually goes to the grocery story or regular store anymore? It seems everyone simply shops online now. Before you make any more purchases online, make sure you sign up for Ebates. This service will allow you to get rebates on 1,000s of online shopping places, including Amazon, Target, and more. I've made $2,400 since signing up for Ebates! Check it out here.
Busy professionals outsource their laundry more often than you would think. If you live in a dorm or apartment building, you could offer to start a laundry service for all your friends and neighbors. Instead of them having to make their own trip to the laundromat, you could combine their trip with yours, and charge them a small fee for it. Considering you do laundry each week, this could be a great recurring revenue stream.
This is one of my favorite "most unheard of" ways to make money - especially for college students. Being a Loan Signing Agent is a great way to earn money in college because you can make $75 to $200 per hour working for yourself on your own schedule. Students can be signing agents and earn extra cash when they want. The best part is you need nothing more than a notary commission (which can often be attained by simply filling out an application)!
If you live off campus and have a yard or can get permission from your school to use communal open space, organize a yard sale with your friends and roommates, maybe even your dorm community. Use the cash to throw a “Yard Sales are Awesome!” party. Realize you spent all your money on the party. Repeat as needed or until you run out of stuff to sell.
Network Marketing is somehow relating to affiliate and digital marketing, a flexible way of earning money by getting more and more attention and people involved to the same. This is one type of a business, which requires a network to be formed betwixt various people involved in the same. There is a low upfront investment involved, for the purpose of registration or buying certain product sample. The criterion is to make your contacts and sell the product but some people actually compensate more participants to the network and hence get paid for it. Most of the revenue comes from recruiting new participants. But before joining any Referral Marketing Company do check its legal papers and working process because there are many people who are running fraud companies under the shed of Referral Marketing as suggested by Lokesh Tanwar founder of Business Alligators.
There are various ways students can earn money to at least generate their own pocket-money. We have already written a few posts about this in the past. So this post is a round-up of some of the old, as well as new methods you can earn money online while studying. This does not apply only to students, but also to house wives or other unemployed people who want to earn some money.
Kinda like eBay IRL, clothing consignment shops are havens for the thrifty and fashion conscious. Take your old prom dresses, dress khakis, and other gently worn items and see what kind of cash you can get. (You can even bring in that new dress you've had for four years but never worn but keep saying you'll wear someday...it's time to let it go.) You typically won’t be paid until the items sell, but depending on the quality of the piece, you could earn a pretty penny. Though most consignment shops carry your favorite mall brands, you’ll also find some selling just higher-end stuff, so make sure you know what kind of merchandise the store is looking for.
You’re responsible, compassionate, and don’t mind giving up your Friday and Saturday nights: you could make a great baby or dog or house sitter. Though there are professional websites and agencies out there you could join, you may have luck volunteering your services to friends or family you already know. (Per usual, be wary of taking money from strangers...) And why not offer to wash the dishes or fold the laundry for an extra $10?
If you're crafty, you should consider selling your stuff on Etsy. Etsy is designed for handmade goods – including stationary, greeting cards, household crafts, and more. The great thing about creating these types of products is that you can do it in your spare time, on nights and weekends. And creating many of these products doesn't take up much space – so it can be dorm room friendly. Don't think there's much money in selling on Etsy? Well, this teenager paid for her college by selling crafts online.
Freelancing is one of the toughest, but also one of the best paying methods of earning money. Toughest in the sense that it is hard to get a freelancing job. But once you get one, it’ll be worth the effort. Mostly, hirers are looking for experience, which most students don’t have. But you can increase your chances by joining multiple freelancing websites. Here is a list of the top freelancing websites you can try your hands on. Alternatively, you can do some other freelance tasks which don’t require an internet connection!
One of the best ways to get started investing in real estate is to buy a house in college and rent out the other rooms to roommates. One of my best friends did this – he bought a 4 bedroom house his freshman year and rented out 3 of the rooms. The rent from the roommates covered the rent and all the expenses, and he was able to pocket a small profit each month. By the time he graduated college, he had two rentals and a house for himself.
Selling notes — If you take great notes in class — or you want to get better at taking great notes — look into StudySoup. This is a website that pays you for your class notes and study guides. The perks of this site are two-fold — by putting together great notes and study guides, you’ll be learning your course material even better, AND you can get paid to do it! If StudySoup isn’t available for your college, there’s still nothing stopping you from selling your notes to classmates directly, too.
